In collaboration with partners, Reewire runs a series of projects in different countries. While our partners are found among local, national and international businesses and other organizations, the projects are based on the next generation mobile financial technology of the 4M Platform.

The following short list introduces four of our prominent projects.

Mobiflouss in Tunisia

In Tunisia Reewire International ApS is engaged in a partnership with Post Tunisia and Ooredoo. Together we have launched Mobiflouss.

This hybrid mobile banking solution combines 4M Banking and 4M Pay into a USSD-based mobile payment solution. It was deployed in 2012 and is Reewire’s first full-blown deployment.

Mobile Banking Services

Mobiflouss facilitates a range of mobile banking services. These include deposit and withdrawal, transfer between wallets, accounts and non-registered customers. It also includes termination of international remittance and domestic remittance, bill payment, payment to retail and merchants, micro-loan repayment, and disbursement of government scholarships.

Award-Winning Solution

In 2014, Mobiflouss was nominated winner in the category Consumer Service Innovation at the Annual Global Telecoms Business Innovation Awards. And subsequently, it was subject to a case study by Universal Postal Union (UPU).

AdIB Mobile Banking & Addis Birr in Ethiopia

Reewire ICT Solutions PLC, Reewire’s Ethiopian business entity, is engaged in a partnership with Addis International Bank SC (AdIB). Together Addis International Bank and Reewire PLC Solutions launched AdIB Mobile Banking. And Addis Birr Agency Banking is in deployment.

AdIB Mobile Banking

AdIB Mobile Banking was launched in 2016. This is a 4M powered USSD-based Mobile Banking solution. It runs on feature phone and is available as mobile application for Android and IOS.

The core mobile banking services include check of balance and latest operations, transfer between internal and external accounts, domestic remittance, check of status enquiry, stop check, and order new check book. The system provides SMS notification on all transactions. Airtime top-up, service integration and e-ticketing are in deployment.

Addis Birr Mobile Wallet

Addis Birr is in deployment This is a 4M powered Agency Banking hybrid solution that comes with a mobile wallet. It combines 4M Mobile Money and 4M Agent.

Addis Birr has two mobile applications, one for users and one for agents. Both are available for IOS and Android applications and the system supports feature phones via USSD.

For agents, the core services include end-user enrolment and KYC processes. For end-users the services include deposit and withdrawal, transfers between wallets, accounts and non-registered users, and domestic remittance.

The services are being extended to include a range of meaningful value-added services. Among these services are airtime top-up, e-ticketing, micro-loan disbursement and repayment, insurance products and salary pay-out.

AiroPay Mobile Wallet in Nigeria

In Nigeria Reewire formed partnership with AiroPay Ltd, a Lagos based micro finance institution, backed by Zenit Bank. Together, Reewire and AiroPay have launched AiroPay Mobile Money. 

This solution is an advanced 4M powered Mobile Money with a broad range of financial services. It was launched in December 2018.

AiroPay Mobile Money has two mobile applications, one for users and one for agents. Both are available as IOS and Android applications for smartphone. The solution can also run on feature phone via USSD.

Mobile Services

For users, AiroPay Mobile Money accommodates deposit and withdrawal, including card-less ATM withdrawal, transfer between accounts, domestic remittance, 3rd. party or non-registered user deposits to account, bill payment (including water, electricity, PayTV and Internet) termination of international remittance to wallet, QR code supported retail and merchant payment, and registration of any payment card on the end-user application for recharge and card registered, QR code-supported retail payment.

Service Road Map

The service road map for the AiroPay Mobile Money includes USSD enabling of the end-user application. Furthermore, it includes online and mobile based loan application for MTN customers of mobile micro-lending with credit scoring, based on behavioural data and track record, and instant or short notice notification on loan granting and repayment terms. Approved micro-loans are automatically credited to the AiroPay wallet or via the AiroPay Mobile Money Service.

WePay in Nepal

In mid-2018, Reewire International ApS formed partnership with Reewire Nepal Pvt Ltd and Nepal Payment Solution Pvt Ltd. The partnership is in the process of deploying a payment and service hub.

This partnership has subsequently been extended to include Sanima Bank, that will operate as settlement bank.

Payment and Service Hub

The service and payment hub is an entire financial ecosystem. It is powered by the agnostic and open-infrastructure technology of the 4M Platform. The solution is inter-operable and scalable in such a way, that it enables the switching of payments and services and the re-distribution of services across multiple networks.

The payment and service hub consists of three key solutions:

Payment System Operator

The payment system operator (PSO) operates the ePayment Gateway. The PSO license is held by Nepal Payment Solution Pvt Ltd.

The PSO clears payments, completes switching, settlement and compensation with integration into the settlement bank. The PSO furthermore directs links to trust accounts in multiple banks and manages the ePayment Gateway – with the acquiring ability of multiple cards, wallets and accounts through the 4M Mobile Banking solution. The PSO also provides the unified QR code system, that enables multiple PSPs to acquire from multiple financial instruments.

Payment Service Provider and WePay

The license for the payment service provider (PSP) is held by WePay Pvt Ltd.

WePay is also the name of the mobile wallet. This wallet is a 4M Mobile Money solution, based on an innovative banking application. The WePay wallet enables direct QR code-based retail user payment. Users can scan and register any payment card from any bank on the WePay wallet. Users can also register a 3rd. party wallet. WePay is based on an end-user mobile application, available for IOS and Android.
